Snap Factory Team rocks Rockford...2010!!!

Ready or not... here we come!!!

The hometown Snap Factory team had another great outing locking up 14,15,16 cruiser on Saturday, with wins by Brandon Ceslok, Tyler Whitfield and Alan Struna (pictured). Tyler left the big bike parked for Sunday and raced Jr. Devo instead, but his aforementioned mates carried on the tradition, and took 14C and the combined 15-16C on day two.

Brandon Ceslok won 14X class, cruiser and open on Sat. and came back on Sun ti win cruiser and open, settling for fourth in class.  Alan Struna won 16X cruiser and took second in class on Sat. but came back Sun. to win class and cruiser.  Tyshawn Carr won 10X class and cruiser on Sat. but only raced class on sun. and finished fourth.  George Andrews won class both days.  Thor Buchanan came in 3rd on cruiser on Sat. and made the main on both bikes on Sun.  Tyler Whitfield won 15X cruiser on Sat. and won class and JR devo on Sunday.  Next stop for the team, the New England Nationals in Westfield, MA.  Stop by and say hello to the guys and check out our products.

The final USAC/ABA Junior Development series for the 2010 season concluded with the ABA Spring Nationals in Albuquerque. It was a contentious series, with 95 boys and 26 girls earning points. When it was all said and done, and the ABA supercomputer in Gilbert finished chomping all the numbers, Tyler Whitfield of Rockford, IL (above) emerged with the boys points win over Jordan Miranda—by a razor-thin margin of two points.

The ladies had an even closer race to the proverbial stripe, with Dani George edging out Indiana’s Sam Brown by one point. Sam has been tearing it up on the JD circuit lately, winning the class two of the three days at the Dixieland nationals, all three days at the Wiregrass nationals, plus various local-area JD races. But Dani has been getting to a ton of races herself lately, and the Yahtzee just rolled her way this go-round.

For Tyler, keeping his Jr. Devo points total high has been a challenge, because the kid is absolutely killin’ it on the cruiser these days. Tough to race three classes (four with open, if you dare), so sometimes it had to be a “JD on Saturday, cruiser on Sunday” situation. Big ups to him and here are the final totals:

1 TYLER WHITFIELD 121

2 JORDAN MIRANDA 119

2 SAMANTHA BROWN 117

3 SHAYONA GLYNN 112

4 ALYSHA WEAVER 111

5 MEAGAN PRITCHARD 103

6 SHELBY STACY 102

7 KENDRA STODDARD 92

8 KATHRYN MOORE 76

9 CAITLYN WOOD 74

10 FELICIA STANCIL 65

Among them were Elite women's riders Rachel "Thunder" Smith and Krystal Hime, both of whom are proudly sponsored by Snap. They both put on quite a show for us Sunday, finishing second and third in the Elite Women's mains. Congratulations to both of you!!! There were a few other riders out there that some of you may know... the list is too long. This was the first NBL race that I have attended and I must say I was very impressed.
